"Mr. Irrelevant" Finds his Calling Redefining the Limits of the Disabled

by Nomad

Meet David Vabora, former NFL linebacker, and gym owner.

Over two years ago, he established the Adaptive Training Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in Dallas, Texas. Its stated a mission: "to empower the human athlete, restore hope through movement, and redefine the limits of individuals with disabilities."
ATF provides free personalized physical training programs for injured veterans and people living with disabilities. Participants in this nine-week program receive a training regimen that is customized for their fitness goals and specific disabilities.

It's hard not to be impressed with Vaboro's unshakeable, contagious confidence. With that positive attitude, Vabora not only climbed out of his own trap but helped others "to become stronger, truer, and braver versions of themselves."
