The Idle Chit Chat Game - Round Two

by Nomad

Last month, I tested out a diversion called the "Idle Chit-Chat Game. Its aim was to encourage a bit of discussion, outside the doom and gloom of the current times.
And I have to say I was really impressed with the results. You all put a lot of thought into your answers. The mini-discussions were fascinating and insightful.
I understand that a lot of nomads are stressed out by the possible outcome of the mid-term elections and thought you might enjoy another round.

Step 1 - Roll the dice
Go to Random.org  and hit the "roll the dice" button to find your number.

Step 2 - Find Your Question
With the number from the dice roll, find the corresponding question. Answer the question with as much clarification as you like.
There are no right or wrong answers.

  1. Well, it is very very unlikely anybody could roll a "1" with two dice. Don't know why I didn't realize this the first time!

  2. When it comes to politics, what person has most affected your way of thinking?

  3. What are you most proud of as an American? Is there anything of which you are ashamed?

  4. In a sentence, what political advice would you give the newest generation of voters?

  5. Can you be friends with someone if they have very different political views from you? Why or why not?

  6. How have your political views changed over your lifetime? Is there one particular position that you held in the past that you no longer feel the same about?

  7. Which is more important for new immigrants: respecting cultural diversity or instilling American values?

  8. What is, in your opinion, the greatest threat facing the United States at this moment?

  9. Has political polarization affected your life and if so how?

  10. In your opinion, which woman has been under-appreciated by historians?

  11. What is something you value that most people take for granted?

  12. What do you consider to be the most pressing/most important issue facing America today?
